Indian rohtak medical students thrive the slam against huge racket of paper leakage corruption

Comparisson of result of first 16 rank holders in MD/MS exam conducted by MDU in 2008 & 2007

No. of students who got selected in AIPG/AIIMS/PGI Chd. Exams in 2007 - 14 and in 2008- 3
No. of outsiders who got selected ie. Without getting the benefit of 5 extra marks equivalent to 10 questions out of 180 questions. In 2007 – 0 and in 2008 – 7
No. of students who failed in various subjects during their MBBS professional exams. In 2007 – 0 and in 2008- 6 (We do not have records of seven outsiders but we sure that they will be having similar dismal academic records if investigated)
No. of students who got admission to MBBS without appearing in the entrance exam ie. On paid seat/NRI Quota and managed to clear PG entrance exam in first attempt in 2007 – 0 and 2008 – 2
Difference of marks between toppers of HCMS quota and open merit seats. In 2007 – 0.5% (ie. 1 question only) and in 2008 – 14% (28 questions)

Total no. of MD/MS seats available – 28.
All those from Rohtak who secured good ranks in AIPG entrance examination this year did not get good rank in Rohtak MD/MS entrance examination and most of the toppers Rohtak MD/MS entrance examination did not get any rank at AIPG which was conducted just about a month ago.
The trend is similar after comparison of the results of 2008 with 2006,2005,2004 & so on…
Hardly and outsider was able to make up to top hundred ranks in previous years examination due to the weightage given to the students who cleared MBBS from Haryana but this year we have several students in the merit list who do not have the benefit of 5 extra marks/10 questions and one
student who do not have a benefit of 10 extra marks/20 questions.
Never before have the toppers of HCMS quota and open merit have got same % of marks.
Last year nobody in first 30 had failed even in single subject during their MBBS professional examinations but this year almost all toppers of the merit list have failed in several subjects in their MBBS annual examinations which were conducted by the same teachers and the same university.
The Vice Chancellor of MDU who conducted this exam says “toppers ke tukke lag gaye honge”
The Chief Minister Haryana says stop protesting or I will put you behind bars.
We ask why was the date of completion of internship (which is the eligibility criterion for the above stated exam) extended from april-2008(which has been rule for last several years) to may-2008? Was it to accommodate an individual(s)?
All the teachers and the students of PGIMS Rohtak are condemning this result because they know the toppers in the merit list.
Students of PGIMS Rohtak are willing to give specific/precise information about this entire racket to an independent inquiring agency.

We demand:-
Setting up of an independent inquiry agency to investigate into this huge racket.
Reconduction of exam by an independent authority .
Steps to be taken to prevent such episodes in future
